Recital Dress Rehearsal (hair, makeup, shoes, tights, and costume)

Group Pictures will be taken after each dance is performed in each costume for non-company dancers!  These will be provided to you after the show along with any photos our photographer takes during the recital.

Dancers, please arrive by 12:00 and doors open for the public at 1:15pm.

DRESS REHEARSAL – FRIDAY AT 5:30PM - BRCC THOMAS “BO” AUDITORIUM
On FRIDAY we will have a FULL-DRESS REHEARSAL. This means that you will need to have your hair and makeup done like you will for recital day. You will also need to have all your costumes, tights and shoes. This includes your recital t-shirt and black bottoms. Please put your child’s name in all these items. Please arrive at Thomas Bo Auditorium READY TO GO at 5:30. Grab a seat in the auditorium and await instructions.  We will run the FINALE first. You will line up under your last dances sign on the wall in the lobby. Before we start finale we will do the mom and dad dance rehearsal on stage.  After the finale rehearsal, we will run the entire show from numbers 1-57 with as little stops as possible. After you finish your last dance, you are free to go.

RECITAL DAY! - SATURDAY AT 2:00PM - BRCC THOMAS “BO” AUDITORIUM
On SATURDAY we will hold rehearsals for some classes in the morning (check the website to see if your class is posted). Dancers will need to arrive by 12:30PM. The doors will open at 1:15PM and the show will begin promptly at 2:00PM. We move quickly. Be sure to have your dancer in the lobby 5 numbers before their number. They will be walked backstage and then brought back to the lobby after they dance. With your recital fee paid you are allowed unlimited admissions.   Please be courteous and try not to save rows of seats in general admission.  

 

PICTURES:  WEEK OF MAY 11-15 DURING REGULAR CLASS HOURS.  WEAR COSTUME, MAKEUP, TIGHTS AND SHOES.

Everyone is encouraged to join.  If you can’t make rehearsals, then you can still participate!  We will post an instructional video so your dancer can help you learn at home.  Please email your name to artofdanceNC@gmail.com to inform us of your intent to participate!  The kids remember this for the rest of their lives….
